College costs are real. So is your kid’s potential. That’s why we offer scholarships to help ease the financial hit while encouraging big dreams.

Your children have big plans, and we’re here to help them take the next step with a little less stress and a little more support. We proudly offer the following scholarships:

It’s all cheers and smiles today

For high school seniors and beyond, pursuing all kinds of academic dreams.

  • While there is no set limit on the number of scholarships awarded, we average six $1,000 scholarships yearly.
  • Applications are accepted between October 1 and February 1 for consideration for the following academic year.
  • The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation administers our scholarships.

This scholarship isn’t just for high school seniors. It’s for any PACU member ready to take the next step with continuing their education. To qualify, your child (or you) must:

  • Be a high school senior or beyond, enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a university, college, community college, trade school or higher education program in the upcoming year.
  • Be a PACU member in good standing.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

We know you’ve got enough on your plate, so we’ve kept our scholarship application process simple, where background and goals are primarily shared. Here’s what to do:

That’s it. Notifications are in April, with funds remitted directly to the institution in July.

For students pursuing a career in aviation systems technology at Forsyth Tech Community College.

  • With Mark and Elizabeth Davidson, we established an annual $2,000 scholarship fund at Forsyth Tech Community College to celebrate our strong ties in the aviation industry.
  • Applications are accepted between March 15 and April 30 for consideration for the following academic year.
  • The Forsyth Tech Community College Foundation administers our scholarships.

Working toward a career in aviation at Forsyth Tech, this scholarship could be a financial lift you’ve been looking for your child or even yourself, if the following qualifications are met:

  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in an aviation program at Forsyth Tech’s Mazie S. Woodruff Aviation Technology Lab at Smith Reynolds Airport.
  • PACU member in good standing.
  • Resident of Forsyth County.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 either from high school or Forsyth Tech.

To apply for this scholarship:

  • Follow Forsyth Tech’s application process. It begins on its official portal, where a Forsyth Tech ID and password are required to log in.
  • Once in the portal, be guided step-by-step on how to complete the application.

Headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and founded in 1949 within the aviation industry, Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (PACU) serves member-owners, who reside, work, worship, attend school or operate a business in one of the six counties it serves in North Carolina or who are employed by one of its many employer companies. These six counties are Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Iredell, Mecklenburg and Rockingham.
