Piedmont Advantage Credit Union seeks to hire an Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Executive Management team and assigned lines of business within the credit in order to support optimal business performance. The incumbent will coordinate, oversee, and perform a wide variety of administrative and program support activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Executive Management Support: Maintains and manages assigned executives calendars and other administrative needs as directed, to include but not limited to monthly expense reports, time and attendance management, travel arrangements, taking of minutes, drafting of communications and the scheduling of meetings.
  • Credit Union Line of Business Support: Provides administrative support to assigned lines of business within the credit union to include, but not limited to: collecting and preparing information for use in discussions and meetings, preparing or assisting in the preparation of assigned reports, ordering of office supplies, taking of minutes, drafting communications, the scheduling of meetings, as well as identifying and communicating process efficiencies and improvements to line of business management.
  • Administration Department Duties: Includes, but is not limited to maintaining storage areas, files, supplies, and other applicable credit union materials; maintaining association listing to such as CUNA and NAFCU; and participating in various departmental projects and tasks.
  • Policy Administration: Administers the policy update process for assigned lines of business and the maintenance of the credit union policy libraries.
  • Conference Room and Shared Space Administration: Manages the conference room calendars for assigned rooms within the Advantage Way and Greensboro locations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school diploma or GED

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union seeks to hire a BSA Compliance Analyst to support the BSA Officer in administering the Credit Union’s Bank Secrecy Act compliance program.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Identify suspicious activity through transaction monitoring from BSA/AML alerts, CDD alerts, incident reports, and other internal methods and report as directed.
  • Creates and files SAR reports for qualifying BSA/AML and Fraud suspicious activity according to regulation and adhering to time sensitive deadlines.
  • Process and file CTR reports according to regulation and time sensitive deadlines.
  • Compile and present information to the BSA Officer for case investigations, risk assessments, regulatory exams, and monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Works with Fraud Specialist in reviewing incident reports and notating recommendations.
  • Conducts case investigations and assigns complex cases to the BSA Officer as needed.
  • Assist the BSA Officer with updates to annual BSA training
  • Assist the BSA Officer with 314b collaborations
  • Conduct verifications for OFAC, 314a, and other watch list screening. Maintain records according to policy.
  • Conduct behavior reviews for member account transactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Two to five years of similar or related experience
  • (1) a two year college degree, or (2) Completion of specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or (3) Completion of specialist and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is seeking an energetic Insurance Specialist to efficiently administer the loan insurance programs which contribute to the protection of the credit union's assets and provide member value, estate and probate cases, and supporting the collection functions on the recovery team.

Essential Functions:

  • Process estate accounts by communicating with the estate administrator and filing claims as needed to protect the assets of the credit union and its members. Ensure that all documents are received and reviewed in order to properly distribute any funds.
  • Administer the insurance programs in conjunction with ALLIED, CUNA and SWBC. This includes Collateral Protection Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance and GAP/Warranty. Work with members to initiate claims and resolve any issues. Adjust balances and post claim payments and/or policy refunds. Ensure all associated ledgers are balanced
  • Act as a back-up to the Credit Bureau Dispute process. Learn all aspects of the role, including, but not limited to, PACER, Eoscar, ACDV dispute review, direct dispute review, and responding to credit repair agency correspondence.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Collections Department and teammate responsibilities in order to effectively answer inbound queue calls. Examples include, but are not limited to, delinquent accounts, titles, repossessions, extensions, modifications, and negative share accounts.
  • Assist members with total loss claims. Track accounts and follow up with members to ensure filing of GAP claims. Recommend charge off as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skill, education, training, experience:

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience
  • A two-year college degree, completion of a specialized certification or licensing, completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired.

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union seeks to hire a Senior Accountant based at our headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC. The role of the Senior Accountant is to maintain the Credit Union’s accounting records and reports, ensuring that they are in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices. As the most senior accountant, the Senior Accountant is a leader for other members of the department and a resource for peers and managers in other areas of the Credit Union as they have accounting related needs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Consistently approves daily and monthly GL reconciliation, while annotating variances and reporting up to management where appropriate.
  • Works cooperatively with peers and managers to act as a resource and subject matter expert on accounting-related matters.
  • Utilizes accounting knowledge to assist in the development of financial, statistical, and accounting reports for the Credit Union; to include month, quarter, and year-end.
  • Reconciles roughly 10-15% of monthly general ledger reconciliations. Each month the employee will strive to complete all reconciliations of prior month general ledger balances to agree to source documentation, such as third party statements, third part reports, or relevant account activity for other accounts such as accrual accounts.
  • Thoroughly reviews, verifies, and signs off on the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records through a high degree of attention to detail for completion.
  • Under the direction of the Controller, instructs or assigns work to accounting team for timely completion of all assigned tasks and initiatives. Monitors work flow of the department to ensure most efficient use of time.
  • Acts as a resource for and works with auditors/examiners on year-end and comprehensive audits. Understands the importance of maintaining a positive relationship with auditors/examiners and sets an example for other staff on how to prioritize their requests.
  • Utilizes CU industry knowledge and strict attention to detail to prepare call report on quarterly basis. Reports industry benchmarks and trends as they arise in the data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Educations, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Five years to ten years of similar or related experience
  • A college degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience, specifically Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Must be willing to adjust to rapid changes in daily work while also meeting deadlines.
