Piedmont Advantage Credit Union seeks to hire an energetic Lending Processor. This position is responsible for building and maintaining successful member relationships by taking, processing, funding and servicing all consumer loan types to ensure the member/owners are provided prompt ending decisions to enhance their lives while accurately preparing documents to meet Piedmont Advantage Credit Union lending policy and procedures. The Lending Processor supports and assists team members with timely and consistent execution and communication.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all consumer lending products, services and processes to ensure member/owner loans are processed in a timely manner, completes documentation requirements, all forms of loan maintenance and all loan related transactions immediately. Validates accuracy and scans/archive completed loan packages without delay.

  • Demonstrates and increases comprehensive knowledge of all loan products, services, and processes.

  • Provides an excellent member experience by effective communication, responding and following up promptly, exercising sound judgement and acting responsibly to serve member/owners and protects the Credit Union's safety and soundness. Builds and maintains positive relationships with staff, member/owners and vendors.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to working effectively as a team and participates in on-going self-development.

  • Proficient at analyzing debts, income, collateral values, educating and offering GAP and MRC, credit insurance and accurately documenting loan application paperwork accordingly.

  • Perform other job related duties required or assigned

Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

  • (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

Currently, we have an opening for a Member Experience Advisor at our Greensboro Branch who will be responsible for accepting the challenge of creating a unique experience for every member that walks through our doors. Our Advisors come to us with experience in financial services and a passion to put the Member First. They excel in the areas of building rapport, creative problem solving, critical thinking, sound judgment and most importantly member focus. The Member Experience Advisor is comfortable learning the member’s needs and positioning the correct products and services that would enhance their lives through the relationship they have with their Credit Union.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the delivery of efficient, accurate and professional service of all financial products and services that defines excellent member experience. This will include accurately processing deposit transactions, creating out of the box solutions for member loan requests and opening accounts in an accurate and timely manner. All new products and services should be accompanied by accurate and timely documentation.
  • Assist members with requests, challenges, research, and follow-up on details to resolve matters to the member's satisfaction.
  • Utilize technology to educate members and prospective members on the benefits of Credit Union membership as well as out line up of products and services.
  • Possess the necessary sales skills and positive energy toward the accomplishment of monthly and annual branch activity, member experience and growth goals to continuously put our members first. Effective communication, especially listening skills, are required for the fulfillment of this requirement.
  • Utilize sound judgment skills to maintain a safe and secure environment in our paperless/electronic branch environment while still functioning under dual control. Adherence to all operational, regulatory and security requirement, directives and procedures while minimizing losses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Training, Abilities & Experience:

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Education (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • The ability to motivate or influence others in a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.

Accountant

From our humble beginnings in 1949 to the present, at Piedmont Advantage, we simply serve our members. Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is seeking an Accountant with a servant's heart and passion for making a difference to join our team. The role of an Accountant is to support the financial management and operations of the credit union through maintenance of accounting records and reports.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles roughly 50% - 60% of monthly general ledger reconciliations. Each month, the employee will strive to complete all reconciliations of prior month general ledger balances to agree to source documentation, such as third party statements, third party reports, or relevant account activity for other accounts such as accrual accounts. Components of receivables and payables accounts will be identified and explained. Reconciliations with aged or unidentifiable variances or balance components will be researched and resolved in a timely manner to minimize potential losses to the credit union.
  • Crosstrain to be an effective member of the accounting team rotation as well as back-up some duties that are not part of the rotation. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Completes special projects throughout the year as assigned by Controller and/or Chief Financial Officer.

Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. specialized certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Piedmont Advantage is seeking a Part Time Teller with a servant's heart and passion for making a difference to join our Wilmington branch team. The Teller will work in cooperation with the front line staff to assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records.
  • Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.
  • Cross-sells credit union services.

Education, training, experience:

  • Has six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • Holds a high school education or GED.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Desk work may involve motivating or influencing others.
  • Provides prompt, accurate, courteous, friendly, timely and professional service to all members.
  • Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is seeking an energetic Member Relationship Team Representative to work on our fast-paced Member Relationship Team in Winston-Salem, NC. The MRT Representative will assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explaining services, setting up new accounts, responding to problems, and directing members to the appropriate contacts within the Credit Union. This is a Full Time position in our inbound call center.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
  • Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
  • Maintains member account information on computer system.
  • Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
  • Acts as liaison between members and various organizations and departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education, Training, Abilities & Experience:

  • Credit Union, Banking and/or Financial Services experience strongly preferred
  • Possesses six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • Holds a high school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent computer skills.
