Congratulations, Cheryl Morrell

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union recently promoted Cheryl Morrell from Assistant Controller to Controller.

“When our Controller position became available, we were fortunate that we had Cheryl Morrell as our newest accounting team member. She has more than 25 years of experience in banking with the majority of this experience in accounting-related leadership positions,” said Piedmont Advantage’s Chief Financial Officer Peter Minford.

“I have known Cheryl for many years; and she has an exceptional ability to manage the general ledger, prepare regulatory reports and use her skills in investment accounting for financial institutions to have active and diverse portfolios. Her attention to detail leads to accounting departments to have a proven framework in high efficiency and continued process improvements,” Minford added.

Morrell earned financial management credentials from the American Bankers Association and the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis. She also attended Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colo.
